Managing Approvals¶
The Approvals page is where you review and act on pending approval requests from your workflows.
Accessing the Approvals Page¶
Click Approvals in the sidebar to open the page. The sidebar icon shows a notification badge when you have pending approvals.

Tabs¶
The Approvals page has two tabs:
Pending Tab¶
Shows all approval requests waiting for your decision. Each request displays:
- Workflow name — Which workflow created the request
- Action — What the step wants to do (e.g., "Send email via Gmail")
- Risk level — HIGH (red), MEDIUM (yellow), or LOW (green) badge
- Parameters — Expandable details showing the exact data that will be used
- Time waiting — How long the request has been pending (e.g., "Waiting 23m")
- Expiry countdown — Time remaining before the request expires (e.g., "Expires in 4h 22m")
History Tab¶
Shows resolved approvals — approved, denied, and expired. Use this to review past decisions and audit your workflow activity.
Approving or Denying¶
For each pending request:
- Review the action details and parameters
- Click Approve to allow the action and resume the workflow
- Or click Deny to block the action and fail the workflow run
Warning
Approval requests expire after 24 hours. An expired request leaves the Pending tab and can't be approved or denied. GloriaMundo stops its run and marks it failed: "Approval expired: nobody approved or denied it within 24 hours". This happens at the latest in the next daily check, or straight away if you try to decide the request. When the daily check stops a run, you get your usual workflow-failure alert, as set in your notification settings. As with a denial, the work the run did before it paused is charged, and nothing after the pause runs.
If a request was already decided, for example in another tab or from the email, approving or denying it changes nothing. The page tells you how it was decided instead.
Approving from an Email¶
When a run pauses for your approval, you also get an email. Its link opens a page that shows:
- the workflow;
- the action;
- the parameters it will use, such as the recipient and the message.
Opening the page decides nothing. Click Approve or Deny there to decide.
Values that look like secrets, such as API keys, tokens and passwords, are hidden on that page. Long values are shortened.
The page doesn't show code that a step would run, because code can contain secrets. Open Approvals in the app to review it.
If you turn off approval emails in Settings, links in emails you've already received stop working: they can't approve or deny, and the page tells you to decide in the app. If GloriaMundo can't check your setting, it sends no approval email and links don't decide anything. The request still waits on the Approvals page.
Sidebar Badge¶
The Approvals icon in the sidebar shows a red notification badge when you have pending approvals. The badge displays:
- The count of pending approvals
- Counts above 99 are shown as "99+"
The badge updates automatically every 5 minutes.
Real-Time Polling¶
The Approvals page checks for new requests every 30 seconds whilst you have it open, so new approvals appear without needing to refresh the page.
Tips¶
- Set up your most trusted workflows in Auto mode to reduce approval noise
- Use Ask mode for new or high-stakes workflows until you're confident they work correctly
- Check the Approvals page promptly — requests expire after 24 hours
- Only you can approve or deny a request: signed in to GloriaMundo, or from the link in the approval email. A developer API key can read your approvals, but it can't decide them
- Review the History tab periodically to audit what your workflows have been doing
